Hall had signed with the Raiders for an extremely lucrative, $72 million contract after being traded from the Atlanta Falcons, with whom he had had a falling out with. After playing only eight games of a 7 year contract, Hall was unceremoniously dumped by the Raiders, who still have to pay him a total $8 million for the season.
