Braylon Edwards Jets jerseys are now available, since the big trade moves first made noise earlier this morning. After an incident involving Lebron James and his friends, and potentially an assault, Braylon Edwards has been shipped to the New York Jets. This isn’t the first incident that Edwards has been involved in, but this seemed to have been the last straw.
Making matters even more interesting is that Browns head coach Eric Mangini sent Edwards to the team he used to coach for. Whether that means those were the easiest people …

The New York Jets fired head coach Eric Mangini, but did he deserve to go? The team had a winning record and just narrowly missed out on the playoffs after an up and down season. Additionally, most of the “down” of the season came from the interception happy throwing hand of Brett Favre, not from the play calling or coaching of Eric Mangini.
In his first season with the New York Jets he was instantly hailed as the “Mangenius”. After a miserable 2007 campaign, the team spent a great deal of …

Days after being released from the Oakland Raiders, DeAngelo Hall has signed on with the Washington Redskins. Hall had signed with the Raiders for an extremely lucrative, $72 million contract after being traded from the Atlanta Falcons, with whom he had had a falling out with. After playing only eight games of a 7 year contract, Hall was unceremoniously dumped by the Raiders, who still have to pay him a total $8 million for the season.
Just another crazy day in Raiders Nation. Few details have emerged at this point in …

Brady Quinn made his highly anticipated NFL debut last night, starting for the Cleveland Browns who were playing at home against the Denver Broncos in a Thursday night game. It seems that his time on the bench payed off, he seemed to be poised and played under control. He found the endzone twice and went 23-35 with 239 yards. Not bad for a debut, and above the expectations of many of the Brady Quinn doubters out there.
Of course, those doubters were not residing in Cleveland, as the majority of Browns …

Mike Singeltary, new coach for the time being of the San Francisco 49ers and of course all-time NFL defensive great, might be my new hero. Now let me start by saying I love a good coach freak out. From Jim Mora’s “Playoffs?!” to Dennis Green’s “If you want to crown them, then crown them!”, nothing sets my mind at ease like a coach losing his mind in front of dozens of people ready to catch every sweet second of it.
So when Mike Singeltary decided his first game ever as an …

That was a great game between the New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers, with the Giants edging out an extremely hard fought victory 21-14. It exceeded even the highest of expectations. (And I could have been there but passed on the tickets, oops!) But after seeing the game, I’m left with one question: Did the Giants win the game or did the Steelers lose it?
These kinds of questions are always judgement calls, and I don’t want to take away anything from either team. The battles were ferocious and the …

The bad news continues to roll in for the Dallas Cowboys. Let’s see, they became the first team to ever lose a game in overtime via a blocked punt being returned for a touchdown. They lost their star quarterback Tony Romo to a pinky boo-boo. Their punter broke his foot on that play as well.
On top of all of that, star rookie running back Felix Jones is going to miss a handful of games, at least two and maybe four or more due to an injury. Oh, and then there’s this …

The news that Tony Romo will be sidelined for at least three games certainly didn’t cheer up any Dallas Cowboys fans after the crazy loss they endured against the Arizona Cardinals. However, I think that Romo being hurt is not only not their biggest concern, but it could serve to improve the team for the rest of the 2008 NFL season and beyond.
Of a bigger concern to Dallas Cowboys fans should be their depleted secondary. With Terrance Newman out, and Adam Jones ready to be suspended once again, the secondary …

Warren Sapp has been interviewed by the Inside the NFL team, and spoke freely about his time with the Oakland Raiders and his views of Al Davis. All of this after Lane Kiffin was finally fired by Al Davis earlier in the week, ending the completely suspense-free saga. We all knew this was going to happen, it was just a matter of time really. Davis is apparently trying to set a world record for the most coaches in the least amount of time.
Yes, Kiffin had an awful record in his year plus …
