Free Week 13 NFL Picks
Yawn, another weekend, another 5-1 record with my free NFL picks. I just keep setting them up, and I hope you are on the other end knocking them down, taking advantage of these picks I'm giving you. Whether straight up or against the spread, if you're betting on the NFL, I'm your guy. I told you about the Jets and the Titans last weekend, what do I have in store for my free week 13 NFL picks? Let's get right to it.
Free Week 13 NFL Picks
Atlanta Falcons @ San Diego Chargers - Chargers favored by 5.5
I've been pretty dead on with my Falcons predictions over the last few weekends. I knew the Broncos would come in there and win, and I knew they would defend their home turf against the Carolina Panthers. This though is the kind of hard game my expert NFL picks were made for, the betting odds clearly want you to take the Falcons in an upset. So what happens now, in a road game against a tough beyond their record San Diego Chargers team? I think the Falcons are going to prove they aren't just a team that can win at home. The Chargers on the other hand, have suffered one too many heartbreaking defeats this season, and won't be fully intense. Falcons on the road in an upset, but if you must pick the Chargers straight up, take the Falcons against the spread.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ New England Patriots - Patriots favored by 1
The New England Patriots are rolling right now and they don't have any games they can afford to lose. Not with the Jets still in first place. The Steelers have had a tough schedule all season long, and clearly this one is no different. A month ago I would have taken the Steelers. But even a healthy Ben Roethlisberger isn't going to help them out here. Not against this chip-on-their-shoulder Patriots with Matt "The Assassin" Cassel gunslinging and Randy Moss giving it his all. The Patriots win the game at home and easily cover the spread.
Carolina Panthers @ Green Bay Packers - Packers favored by 3
Both teams are coming off of losses that could sink their season or right the ship. You might not think that an 8-3 team needs much righting, but the Panthers have been struggling in ways that just weren't showing up in the record. I think their loss to the Falcons will serve to rejuvenate them a bit as they come in ready to play. The Packers will be ready to play too, but won't have an answer for the two-pronged rushing attack of Stewart and Williams. Another road upset in my free NFL picks for week 13, take the Panthers.

New York Giants @ Washington Redskins - Giants favored by 3.5
In most circumstances, this is a game I would take the Redskins, the home team, to pull off the upset in my free NFL picks here. But this one has me thinking a bit. On one hand, the Giants have absolutely been on fire. On the other hand, the Redskins have some making up to do for their week 1 performance and are fighting for their Wild Card playoff hopes. Will Brandon Jacobs and Plaxico Burress even be healthy enough to play or make a difference? It won't matter, the Giants will lose again before the season is out, but not this week. Giants on the road and to cover the spread.
New Orleans Saints @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Buccaneers favored by 4.5
I have no clue who the New Orleans Saints are. I really don't. They have an explosive offense, most of the time. They have a will to win, some of the time. And sometimes they just don't put up much of a fight at all. They really gave a beating to the visiting Packers on Monday night, and I think they will be filling the momentum from that. It's also a must win game for them, and if they want to play meaningful December football, the buck stops here if they lose. Not to mention, if the Buccaneers fall behind the Saints like they did against the Lions, there will be no catching up. Saints on the road in another upset special!
Chicago Bears @ Minnesota Vikings - Vikings favored by 3
Both teams are coming off of big wins here, and both teams are tied for first in the mediocre NFC North. So WWDD? What would Ditka do? Considering the man all but has his own churches in Chicago, it's a fair question to ask. Ditka would run the ball with Matt Forte and he would stop the rushing attack, or at least contain it, facing the ever dangerous Adrian Peterson. I think the Bears will find a way to do both of those things, and take control of the division with a win. Da Bears on the road.
Now it's time to sit back, put those expert week 13 NFL picks to good use and enjoy Turkey Day. Be safe during the holidays, and good luck with the free NFL Picks.
