Free Week 10 NFL Picks

4 November 2008

I'm coming off a really great weekend of free NFL picks. I went 5-1 last weekend straight up, and 4-2 against the spread. So either way that you like to bet on the NFL, I have you covered right here with my free week 10 NFL picks! You're not going to get them any better than you are right here, so let's see what we have in store for this coming weekend!

Free Week 10 NFL Picks

Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings - Vikings favored by 2

It's time for one of these teams to make a stand in their division. While Brett Favre often struggled in Minnesota, that doesn't mean that the Green Bay Packers of 2008, or Aaron Rodgers, will. I think their run defense can contain Adrian Peterson well enough to not let him dominate. And I also think that Rodgers, Donald Driver and Greg Jennings are all finding their groove a bit. I'll take the Packers on the road.

New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles - Eagles favored by 3

Normally, when the Giants come to Philadelphia, you can expect the Eagles to prevail. Hence the point spread favoring the Eagles. But the NFC East is so tough, and every game can be expected to be a battle. Some might think the Giants are riding too high right now, but I think they are looking at this game as a way to further thin out the playoff contenders in the division. I'll take the Giants on the road, my second upset so far in my free NFL picks.

Baltimore Ravens @ Houston Texans - Texans favored by 1

This is a really simple game for me to pick. I don't think the Houston Texans are a playoff team. I do think the Baltimore Ravens are a playoff team, as you can see in my week 10 Power Rankings. If it wasn't for a few very tough losses early in the season, the Ravens could be in first place, ahead of the Steelers. Well, I guess they'll have to settle for another win, inching them closer. I'll take the Ravens on the road, my third straight road team and third straight upset. I guess it's easy to pick against the spread when you don't ever pick the favored team!

New Orleans Saints @ Atlanta Falcons - Even

I'm a believer in the Falcons. I think that Matt Ryan is the real deal and there is a lot of other great talent on that team, including Michael Turner and some of their defensive stars, like a healthy John Abraham. But I also think Drew Brees could quietly be having an MVP season if he can carry his team to the playoffs. And that's why they need this win. Also on their side, even on a road game they get to play in a dome, where Reggie Bush can really take off. I'll take the Saints on the road, keeping the road teams streak alive here in my free NFL picks.

Denver Broncos @ Cleveland Browns - Browns favored by 3

The Denver Broncos have burned me this season, more than just once. So I should really be reluctant to pick them. Playing in Cleveland is hard, especially when there is even a glimmer of the Browns doing well. But Cleveland's playoffs hopes have officially been shot, and I think they are in for an ugly performance. The Broncos are in an uber-winnable division, they just need to find a way to get a win! And they will against a reeling Browns team, with Jay Cutler putting some huge numbers. Broncos on the road over the Browns.

Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots - Patriots favored by 4

Three teams stand at 5-3 in the AFC East. And this game will go a long way towards a favorite being declared. I really think it's a two horse race between these two teams. I was all set to pick the Bills here, but they have now let me down twice in back to back weeks. Can they rebound? They will beat the Patriots this season, when they play in Buffalo. And now for a change in my free NFL picks, ending my road team and upset picks, I'll take the Patriots at home to cover the spread.

Tennessee Titans @ Chicago Bears - Titans favored by 3

I almost wanted to pick the Bears in the upset. Somebody has to be the first to beat the Titans, so why not a tough defensive team like Chicago, playing at home? Well I think the why not has been answered with poor performances against the Vikings and the Lions, even if both were wins. I think the Titans are going to give Kyle Orton a hell of a hard time, and the Bears will contain Lendale White, only to have Chris Johnson slash for some big gains. Titans on the road, and to cover the spread.

There's 7 free NFL picks for Week 10. After a great week 9 with my expert picks, I'm expecting great things again for Week 10. Spread the word!
