Free NFL Picks Week 6

7 October 2008

Last week, I went 2-2 out of my 4 free NFL picks. Some hard games to call, that's for sure. And I don't take the easy way out, by picking the easy games! Why bother giving free NFL picks if all you do is pick the sure things! That's what I ask.

Anyway, let's get on to the free NFL picks for week 6 of the 2008 NFL season.

Baltimore Ravens @ Indianapolis Colts

The two of these teams are both in some trouble. The Colts are coming off a very emotional win, while the Ravens are coming off two very emotional losses. The question is who is going to rebound best from that? I have a feeling that the Baltimore Ravens will be able to really bother Peyton Manning, who still isn't at 100% and has injuries all around him. I'll take the Ravens, on the road to pull out this one.

New England Patriots @ San Diego Chargers

This is a great game, and it features the two AFC Championship participants from last season. How things have changed since then! The Miami Dolphins have beat them both. The Patriots looked back to form against the 49ers, but Philip Rivers won't get as confused as J.T. O'Sullivan. And LaDainian Tomlinson would love to stick it to the Patriots and their aging defense. I like the Chargers at home in this one, another upset brought to you in my week 6 free NFL picks!

Carolina Panthers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers are a bit of a team in turmoil right now, with their quarterback situation still unresolved. The Panthers however seem to be a focused and mentally strong team, putting its puzzle back together. A healthy Jake Delhomme has meant great things so far for the Panthers, as has the tandem of Jonathan Stewart and Deangelo Williams. Despite a strong defensive performance from the Bucs, I'll take the Panthers in a big divisional game.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Denver Broncos

I picked the Broncos in my week 5 free NFL picks edition, and surprise, I was right. It's hard to beat the Broncos at home, and the defense is tired of getting abused in the media. However, the Jaguars are tired of being abused by their opponents and losing close, hard fought games. I expect the Jaguars to unleash the tiger, so to speak, in week 6 against the Broncos. Expect the running game to be overpowering and David Garrard to play mistake free, while the Broncos struggle to put it together. Jaguars on the road.

There's another four free NFL picks for all you NFL fans out there. Taking them straight up, as opposed to betting the spread. If you want me to pick against the spread, let me know in the comments and I can change to that.

If you're looking for every single game picked, go find some other free NFL picks. I'm here to give you the hard matches, not the obvious ones! Good luck...
